Our story

Growing up on an island surrounded by wildflowers and the ocean, nature has always been at the center of our lives. There is beauty to be found in every season; in every flower.

There is a comfort that the simple act of lighting a candle brings. The strike of a match and the quick flicker of the flame as it touches the wick is a familiar movement most of us know well. Whether we are in a season of grief; seeking a moment of quiet self reflection, in an act of merriment and joy, seeking light on a dark and cold winter’s night or enjoying the golden glow it casts on our loved faces over dinner; it is a symbolic gesture that we turn to time and again.

The fast-paced nature of a modern world makes the act of choosing a handmade object and gifting ourselves a moment to slow down practically an act of rebellion. We are reclaiming the right to slow down, to live gently, and to allow ourselves a moment of quiet. It is with a nod to the generations before us that we uphold the time-honoured tradition of dipping candles by hand. When you burn a beeswax candle you are surrounding yourself with a light that is the closest you can get to natural sunlight. It is our hope that when you burn a beeswax candle you are transported back to a warm summer’s day, where you can feel the warmth of the sun on your skin and the scent of flowers lingers in the air.
